Para los que no conozcan esta extensión , su funcion es la de minimizar el firefox en la barra de notificacion con un simple icono en vez de en la barar de herramientas. El problema está en intentar utilizarlo en Firefox 3, ya que no es compatible con este navegador, pero solo en teoría, ya que modificando el archivo de instalación y simplemente indicandole que es posible instalarlo en firefox 3 funciona perfectamente.

El proceso es el siguiente.

1 - Descargar el archivo de instalacion del componente de aqui
(para descargarlo me cree un html plano con el enlace ya que desde la web oficial no deja descargar el archivo si no usas firefox 2.0.*)
2 - Renombrar el archivo de .xpi a .zip
3 - extraer del .zip el archivo install.rdf
4 - Abrir el archivo con cualquier editor de texto plano , Vi por ejemplo :-P
5 - Buscar la linea que contiene la version maxima de firefox para la instalacion y cambiar de 2.0.0.* a 4.0.0.* o 9.0.0.* o cualquier numero de version mayor de la 3.*
6 - Sustituye en el zip original el antiguo install.rdf por el modificado
7 - Renombra de nuevo el archivo .zip a .xpi
8 - Arrastra el archivo .xpi a Firefox y comenzará la instalación :-)

Podría poner el archivo ya modificado aqui , pero como lo divertido es trastear os lo dejo en vuestras manos (si alguien se ve incapaz que me escriba y se lo mando ya hecho :-P)

For those not familiar with this extension, its function is to minimize the firefox in the bar with a simple notification icon rather than on the tool bar. The problem is trying to use it in Firefox 3, as it is not compatible with this browser, but only in theory, since modifying the installation file and simply stating that it is possible to install in firefox 3 works perfectly.

The process is as follows.

1 - Download insalation file from here
(to download it i needed to create a plain html file with the link, cause firefox extension's page doens't let you download itif you dont have firefox 2.0.* version)
2 - Rename .xpi to .zip
3 - extract from .zip install.rdf file
4 - Open the file in a plain text editor like Vi for example :-P
5 - Search for the line that tells the maximun version is 2.0.0.* and change to 4.0.0.* or 9.0.0.* or anythin bigger than 3.*
6 - update the install.rdf file in the .zip with your's.
7 - Rename .zip to .xpi
8 - Drag the edited .xpi to Firefox to begin installation.

I could put here the modified file, but the fun part of it is to make it yourself! (If anyone needs help , tell me and I could send you the file)
